An appointment is highly recommended; walk-ins only when available. Wait times can be one to two hours if you have not booked online.

Attention people with digital ID cards: we are not set up to take them, and according to the mobileID, your digital ID serves as a companion to your physical ID.

Therefore, you still need a physical ID to be pierced.

From mobileID.az.gov: mID is voluntary to use and currently serves as a companion to your physical, plastic ID. Because it is a new technology -- Arizona is one of a handful of states making this technology available to the public -- you should continue to have your physical ID with you because not all entities are able to verify mobile ID yet.

Adult ID Requirements (18+)

For any service, please bring your current state-issued photo ID, driver's license, or passport; your birth date must be on the ID. Unfortunately, we cannot accept school IDs, yearbook photos, faded IDs, altered IDs, paper IDs, digital IDs, copies of IDs, or expired IDs with a hole through the birthdate. Attention people with digital ID cards: we are not set up to take them, and according to the mobileID, your digital ID serves as a companion to your physical ID. Therefore, you still need a physical ID to be pierced.

Identification is required for every visit.

The person getting pierced cannot be coerced or talked into getting the piercing, and they must ask us for the piercing service themselves.

Minor Piercing Requirements (under 18), please read to the bottom.

Please note: Due to our business nature, we don't allow anyone under eight (8) years old in the studio unless they are getting lobe piercings or undergoing help on a current lobe piercing.
No photos or videos; phones must remain in your car, pocket, or purse; they are distracting.

The parent or legal guardian must have all three (3) documents *required below and stay for the piercing; we cannot make an exception to this rule. All documents are required every time any procedure is performed on a minor.

Piercing minors is determined on a case-by-case basis. Halo reserves the right of refusal for any minor piercing at any time during the process.

The minor must show they understand the responsibilities of getting a piercing and are committed to aftercare of the piercing.

The minor cannot be coerced or talked into getting the piercing, and they must ask us for it themselves and speak to any of our staff about what they want.

What we will pierce on minors:

If the piercing you want is not listed below, you must wait until you're 18 years old. Please see our "2 Free on your 18th Birthday" special below.

NOTE: Do NOT Sleep on your healing piercing & do not let pets sleep with you.

Ear Lobes - 4 - 17 years of age- We will only perform 2 lobe piercings on 4 to 10-year-olds.

We will happily add more lobe piercings for 11 to 17-year-olds. However, the first set must be completely healed (10-12 weeks) before a second set can be obtained.

High Lobe - 15-17 years of age - We will only perform 2 high lobe (one on each side) piercings within 6 - 12 months. High-lobe piercings are usually near or in cartilage, so they can take longer to heal.

Upper Helix (Outer Rim Cartilage or Flat) 15 - 17 years of age - one piercing per visit, and you must wait 6 to 12 months between piercings.

Eyebrow, Nostril & Navel - 15 - 17 years of age - one piercing per visit, and you must wait 4 - 6 months between piercings.

*Three (3) Required Documentation for any minor services

Identification and Documentation are required for each visit; we do not keep copies on-site.

1. The Minor must have a current/valid state-issued photo ID, Driver's License, Military ID, Passport, or photo school ID. An identification card is available to all ages, according to the ADOT website; please plan for DMV IDs to take up to 6 weeks to arrive. Also, having this ID can be very beneficial. In addition to serving as an identity document, the child’s photograph is stored in DMV’s database. If the child becomes missing, DMV can retrieve the image from the database and transmit it to law enforcement anywhere in the United States. We know this is a horrible thought, but the world is changing.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept yearbook photos, faded IDs, altered IDs, temporary paper IDs, digital IDs, copies of IDs, or expired IDs with a hole through the birthdate.

2. The Parent/Guardian must have a current/valid state-issued photo ID, Driver's License, Military ID, or Passport

Parents, please note that your birth date must be on your ID and birth certificate.

For adults, we cannot accept school IDs, faded IDs, altered IDs, temporary paper IDs, digital IDs, copies of IDs, or expired IDs.

3. The parent must provide the minor's original Birth Certificate, or the legal guardian** must provide original legal (permanent) guardianship papers. Names must match the information on both IDs.

    A. If the Birth Certificate is a copy, it must be notarized.

    B. Birth Certificate must include the signing parent's name. If the parent's last name is no longer the same as on the birth certificate, please bring information showing your name change.

    C. Original legal guardianship papers and the guardianship must be permanent; we can not accept temporary guardianship papers.

    D. We cannot accept handwritten hospital birth, notification of birth registration certificates, copies that are notarized (UPS near us on Camelback can notarize if they are open), or temporary guardianship papers.

**If the accompanying adult is a Legal Guardian (not a parent), the original Legal Guardianship Documents issued by the courts must be presented; no copies.

Minors: Be nice to your parents while you are in the shop. They are going out of their way for you. If you are disrespectful, we feel you are not mature enough to take proper care of your piercing, and we will refuse service.

We need the above documentation every time a minor needs any service.

Some Common Sense Guidelines: When You’re Ready To Visit Us

We want you to be informed and enjoy your piercing experience.

  • Let us know if you have any medical conditions.

  • Follow the provided aftercare to heal as quickly as possible successfully.

  • We are here for you - feel free to ask us questions about your piercing.

  • Eat a meal (without alcohol) before you arrive. We will not pierce you if you have not had food.

  • Please do not sit down immediately when you arrive because we will not think you want services.

  • Cell phones need to be put away in the piercing room.

For the best possible piercing experience, you should be well-rested and have had a bite to eat before getting pierced.

A good attitude and a focused state of mind help immensely. Remember, this is a cooperative effort between you and your piercer. Listen to your piercer; they will guide you through your experience to make it as quick and painless as possible.

Good personal hygiene is crucial to healing a piercing.

We cannot provide service to you if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, making your piercing experience worse.

Please understand your piercer’s comfort zone. You want the best piercing you can get, so let the piercer work in a way that they are comfortable. Don't force the piercer to make social conversation if they don't seem receptive. Listen to their requests during your service. The piercer will appreciate the consideration, which will be reflected in their work.
